IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1) is a recombinant analogue of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 with a 13-amino-acid extension and a Glu→Arg substitution at position 3, significantly reducing IGFBP binding and extending its serum half-life.
Research Overview
By reducing binding protein interactions, IGF-1 LR3 provides a sustained model for studying IGF-1 receptor signaling, satellite cell activation, anabolic gene expression, and nitrogen retention in research settings.
