Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of endogenous GHRH (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone) with a trans-3-hexenoic acid modification that increases its stability. It is one of the most studied GHRH analogues in research.
Tesamorelin stimulates the pituitary to release endogenous GH in a physiologically patterned manner. Research has documented its effects on visceral adipose tissue reduction via IGF-1 pathway modulation, as well as cognitive function investigations in older research subjects. Its preservation of GH feedback loops (unlike exogenous GH) is a research advantage in studies requiring HPG axis integrity. For laboratory research use only.
